Looks kind of like I just hit the key board and let whatever ended up being hit be the title, but I did not.

That is the name of one of the entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the other being Bosnia and Herzegovina).

How do you even pronounce Srpska? Surpska?

I have got to find a pronunciation guide.

Stuff and junk...again

So I have found another great way to loose time. Lots of time. It is called fish tycoon and can be found on the yahoo game page. What it is that squanders time so well is a puzzle. Perhaps it is that you can over feed your fish till they die and not feel bad because they are really just little pictures on a computer screen or maybe it is that you can price them to be $5000 if you want to or possibly it is that you can make new fish by impregnating a fish by making two fish kiss. I don’t know what the reason is, really. Most likely the last one because it makes me laugh to think of a pregnant fish that got that way by kissing. Actually, that makes me think of that movie Mermaids with Cher, that guy who played Smee, and some other people whose names I cannot think of at the moment. Good movie.


By the way, congratulations to all my old high school cronies who have lately wed. I wish you all the most happiness possible. Especially Mel. Speaking of which, darling, you had better not stumble upon any landmines or anything because I would rather like seeing at least one of those four children you are going to have eventually. And have fun shopping.

NEWS FLASH!

Practicals suck.

Computers suck.

Not having time to consume sustenance sucks.


Being tired sucks.

Working for four hours and then loosing your paper sucks.


Being so tired that you don't really care that practicals suck sucks.

Having to retype everything because your hands are not doing what your brain is telling them to sucks.


Having to miss a kick ass medical show because they decided to move it to a different day sucks.

I have completely lost track of this blog. Or has it lost track of me? Either way, I have not really posted is a while.

I have a good excuse though. Want to read it? I have been studying. Well, part of the time, anyway. The rest of it has been spent hot gluing or painting spools or cutting out pictures of Escher's many and varied influences/works/influenced. This whole semester has been freaking crazy. Every time I turn around there is another project or paper or test or quiz or practical or something that I have to do or prepare for. If this is what next year is going to be like I may have to rethink my major. Seriously, if my life is this busy with just four classes (only two of which are science classes) and two jobs, what is it going to be like when I get into graduate work? Even freaking crazier.

Maybe I can get a job on campus, like in a lab. It would cut down on travel time.

I had a most interesting weekend.

I spent Friday night studying at Starbucks, a place I have come to love for its cushy chairs and caffeinated beverages (not to mention its convenient hours), with a friend. It took a considerable amount of time for the information about ascending tracks to soak in, so we had to take a brake before starting anything else. We had just stopped chanting the pathways when a guy walked up and started talking to "us." I typed "us" because he talked at me and barely looked at Cindy. It was odd to an extreme. And he just kept talking. Truly, I don't understand why he would choose to lavish his attention on me; I looked like crap, was plainly not interested, and was with someone else. But it did give me something to type about.

Saturday I watched Brokeback Mountain with some friends. I think it was better in theaters. There was good conversation, though, and some killer brownies.

I got my second proposal on Sunday. While my first will forever live as the best and most romantic in the world, the second was awfully cute. I was at working in the nursery and that night there were more older kids (4-7) than younger ones. All the boys went nuts and decided that because I was the only adult in the room it would be a good idea to attack me and try to wrestle me to the floor. During one of the breaks after I thwarted their pitiful attempts to overpower me and punished them by mercilessly tickling any stomachs or feet that came in my view the following conversation took place:

Aaron--Miss Sarah, do you know who you are going to marry?

Me--You know, I have not made that decision as of yet.

Aaron--Well, don't pick me.

Me--(laughing) Ok, I won't.

Aaron-- No. Pick me.

Me-- Well Aaron, ouch!

I was cut off by the resumed attack in the form of him earnestly trying to rip some of my hair out of my head. Sweet, right?

Little known fact 1) There are two smells that I would label as intoxicating. One is the glorious smell of a gala apple and the other is Tony's cologne. I deeply enjoy your cologne, Tony.

Little known fact 2) My mom once cut my bangs so short that they would/could not lay down on my forehead. I wore a cloth head band for at least a month and a half.
